If we want to help people of Afghanistan, we must negotiate with Taliban - not punish Afghanistan
Professor Noam Chomsky: The US is not and was not concerned about the people in Afghanistan. Now they want to punish the country - and the Europeans will follow suit and join in. This hits the people who are already in a big crisis. The approach of transitioning from a drug economy to an economy based on the extraction of raw materials should be taken, as China, for example, is doing. The people of Afghanistan should be supported. You have to remember that the Taliban still have to fight a war against IS. Chomsky does not think it is impossible for the US to support the IS in this war.
