This is not Lukashenko's fault, but your fault, you gentlemen and ladies politicians in the West!

More and more people are now coming to the EU via Belarus. EU states react with barbed wire and military operations. Refugees freeze to death in the border area. The EU denies them their human right: to apply for protection because there is war and terror in their country. Lukashenkov, the president of Belarus, is not responsible for this situation (Poland is, because it is involved in the wars). It is the responsibility of you Western politicians. The war on terror, waged by the West in order to directly appropriate the raw materials of the Global South, must be ended. Within the framework of the International PeaceFactory Wanfried, we want to build up a nationwide and international network. We invite you to help us achieve this. Within the framework of our campaign: "Fix our countries, Fix our world, human dignity for all!" we stand up for the fixing of a foreign and refugee policy that corresponds to Western values, the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Without our personal political commitment, the spiral of war, death, expulsion, flight, right-wing extremist threats to democracies will continue to spin faster and faster.

You have broken international law, which forbids war and stipulates in the UN Charter that conflicts should only be resolved by peaceful means. You have chosen the path of war: It has cost hundreds of thousands of lives and plunged states into chaos, where people no longer have any prospect of a decent life.

Why did you do it?

Alain Badiou, the French philosopher, says: You want to secure the control of raw materials directly for your corporations again, as in colonial times. You may not want to or be able to colonise directly, but you can destroy the states. By cooperating with militias, you can then get hold of the raw materials at cheap prices to pay for the weapons needed for the war. Badiou says this is hell for the people in these regions. Don't they have a right to escape this hell?

The us geographer, David Harvey, says that with its war on terror, the USA wants to bring the resource-rich region, the Middle East or West Asia, the world's petrol station, under its control. They see this as an opportunity to permanently secure their global supremacy against possible emerging challengers to their dominance, such as Japan and the EU in the past and above all China today. To this end, under the label of revenge for 9/11 and the war on terror, they have bombed an entire region into death, destruction and chaos, destroying the developmental progress made decades after independence from the European colonial powers. Is it not legitimate for people to flee from there and move to where it is still possible to live in dignity without the constant threat of death?

The US political advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski said that the young people who are now educated and connected via the internet are a danger to the USA, especially in poor countries. Their desire to live in dignity would only be at the expense of the people and countries at the top of the world income pyramid, especially the USA. These young people could no longer be controlled: Hence his recommendation: it is easier today to kill a million people than to control them. That is the way to get rid of the discontent. Don't these people have the right to escape death?

The former leading NATO officer, Gen Wesley Clark, criticised that the USA had a strong army and used it to militarily enforce interests in the control and exploitation of oil. He revealed that the wars, which have always been presented to us as reactions to alleged human rights violations, were and are prepared for the long term:

The West is trying to make its core regions of Europe and the USA or Australia and Israel and the Gulf monarchies inaccessible to the refugees for whom it is responsible.

It can portray the refugees or now Lukashenkov, who does not stop them, as perpetrators to its populations and thus divert attention from its perpetration.

Since many are not informed about the background and aims of the war on terror, they cannot see through the manoeuvre.

We, who stand for human rights, should educate people. Some who give us a lot of knowledge about this are the US-American Scott Horton and the ESX-US-soldier Danny Sjursen. Here are links to their texts and videos

Scott Horton's demand is right: The war on terror, waged by the West in order to directly appropriate the raw materials of the Global South again, must be ended. For this, we need majorities in Western societies and Western politics that can enforce this against the proponents of war. We need an international peace conference at which ways out of the war must be found and the perpetrators of the war must be obliged to pay for a comprehensive programme to rebuild the countries they destroyed. The handling of the refugees, like the wars, show that the West breaks the right Western values when they go against its interests. Its politicians use them to justify their wars, to criticise their breach in other states and thus to distract from the fact that they are permanently breaking them. If you want people to stop having to flee, you should campaign now for an end to the war on terror.

Within the framework of the International PeaceFactory Wanfried, we want to build up a nationwide and international network for this purpose. We invite you to join us in this effort. Within the framework of our campaign: "Fix our countries, Fix our world, human dignity for all!" we stand up for the fixation of a foreign and refugee policy that corresponds to Western values, the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
