Reason2Resist with Dimitri Lascaris: After Playing With Fire, Israel Is Getting Burnt

Victims of Israels attacks in Iran

ree

After launching a criminal war of aggression on Iran, the Netanyahu regime waited less than 48 hours to plead with Trump to deploy U.S. military forces against Iran. While refusing to rule out direct U.S. military intervention at a later date, Trump denied Netanyahu's request. Dimitri Lascaris argues that this is mere Kabuki Theatre. Trump's refusal cannot conceal the obvious reality that the U.S. is already waging war on Iran. Air defence is one of the many vital ways in which the Trump administration is already assisting Israel. From an air defence perspective, Israel is probably the most highly protected military asset in the Western world, yet Iran has now proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that its missiles and drones can penetrate Israel's layered air defences with relative ease. As a result, in the past 24 hours, Israel has suffered severe damage. Moreover, there's good reason to believe that Iran's military has not yet hammered Israel with its most powerful weapons. Will the Trump administration finally rein in its rabid Israeli attack dog, or will Washington become even more desperate to preserve Anglo-American hegemony?
